Hi there, I'm Luke. 

I'm an 18 year old photographer based in Malta who just happens to own a darkroom. 

I fell in love with photography in 2020 when I was just 13 years old. It was mainly due to my grandfather who was a photographer and also owned his own darkroom (you can say photography runs in my blood). When he passed I inherited my first camera which I would go on to take with me everywhere I went. After a while I decided to enrol in an online advanced diploma in photography which I completed at the end of 2020. After completing Secondary school I decided to focus my studies on photography so I enrolled in an advanced diploma in Photography at MCAST Malta. I am currently in my second and final year of the course and hopefully will start my Bachelors Degree next Year.      

It was in 2024 that I started learning the ways of the darkroom (yes I am a star wars fan) and I instantly fell in love with it. It didn't take me long to start planning on building my own darkroom and now, a few weeks later it is up and running. 

Working in the darkroom is an art. To bring life back to old negatives, reprinting old images is to reignite old memories which might have been lost through the passage of time.
